Believe in a Better..Bedtime Routine

1-Set a “bedtime alarm.”
Stick to a specific hour each night to prepare for restful sleep. Try to maintain this time on weekends as well. Routine is key.
2-Eat at least an hour before bed and avoid spicy/junk foods.
This will decrease discomfort and trips to the restroom.
3-Exercise earlier in the day.
This gives your body time to relax and wind down.
4-Come up with a relaxing bedtime routine.
Read, pray, or listen to soothing music.
5-Pick out the “right” pillow for you.
Make sure it is supportive but comfortable.
6-Shut off electronics (phone, computer, tv) 2 hours before bed.
The light confuses the brain into thinking its a.m. not p.m.
7-Try to maintain a cooler temperature.
Your body will be in a calmer and more restful state.
8-Review your day and accomplishments.
Think of one thing each night to be grateful for.
9-Believe in your Better Bedtime Routine.
Believe that it will lead to a better you!
